Produced from premium alloy steels such as 42CrMo4 and 34CrNiMo6, each shaft forging undergoes precise temperature control, optimized deformation, and full ultrasonic testing to guarantee internal soundness and long service life.

Materials 42CrMo4, 34CrNiMo6, 18CrNiMo7-6, and other high-strength alloy steels – selected for outstanding toughness, fatigue resistance, and low-temperature impact performance required in wind turbine applications.
Forging Equipment 5T / 8T / 12T Hydraulic Hammers and Ring Rolling Mills – capable of producing large-diameter main shaft forgings up to 6 meters in length and 12 tons in weight, ensuring superior fiber flow and internal homogeneity.
Production Process Open Die Forging → Heat Treatment (Quenching & Tempering) → Rough or Finish Machining → Final Inspection – ensuring high mechanical strength, dimensional accuracy, and consistent metallurgical properties.
Forging Ratio ≥ 3.5 – providing fine grain structure, improved fatigue life, and superior load-bearing performance during turbine operation under cyclic stresses.
Application Designed for use in wind turbine main shafts for both onshore and offshore installations. Also applicable to other renewable energy systems and heavy-duty rotating shafts requiring high mechanical reliability.
Delivery Condition Quenched and tempered; available as forged, rough-machined, or fully machined shafts. Stress-relieved to prevent distortion and ensure alignment accuracy during assembly and operation.
Inspection & Testing Equipment - Chemical Analysis: Spectrometer - Mechanical Tests: Tensile, Impact, Hardness - NDT: Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) - Dimensional Control: Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Precision Micrometers - Metallography: Grain size and inclusion rating verification for microstructural integrity
